Dear Friends and Colleagues,
we are pleased to present you the SMILE 2023 meeting that will happen in Milan, Humanitas Convention Center, on 23rd-25th February 2023.
The meeting will focus, as usual, on the newest and more interesting topics in shoulder surgery deeply analyzed with highlight lectures, live and re-live surgeries. Clinical cases discussion and round table will allow participants to interact and discuss the topics. An international faculty with top players in the field will be sharing their experience and expertise.
The first day the morning session will be all around shoulder instability, focusing on bony procedures, arthroscopic and open. In the afternoon the treatment of rotator cuff will be the main topic, biology and technical latest advancements will draw your attention.
The second day topics will be at first the traumatic shoulder with A/C joints and proximal humerus fractures followed by a Reverse shoulder arthroplasty session. In the afternoon we will have a special session about the “Cyber shoulder arthroplasties” that will make able all the participants to know more about all the latest technologies that are bringing benefit in our daily activity.
We will conclude with an highlight lecture about revision reverse shoulder arthroplasty.
The final day a live cadaver dissection and a live brachial plexus endoscopy will be followed by hands-on workshops about reverse arthroplasties, ultrasound diagnostics and again “Cyber shoulder” with the opportunity to get confident with different technologies for pre-op planning and intraoperative assistance.
We designed the SMILE 2022 to be in person, to finally meet each other in a room, but we’re ready to fully broadcast the meeting if the pandemic will keep us divided again.
